nfl street picturesHow do you work your way up to become an NFL ref?

Yes I realize I am a girl. But I have been following football since I was able to talk. My father gave me his receiver gloves when I was four.. I still have the picture :D. My first football game I ever saw was in 1986 (the same year I got the gloves) as I sat on the fifty yard line at soldier field to watch the Bears play. Was so happy to see Sweetness play. I absolutely love the game and would be able to make fair calls.

Just need to know if I have to start out at the pee wee league, then highschool, then college or can I just take classes and become certified that way? Im not a complete girlie girl and Im not a boyish girl either. And yes, I am aware I could get hurt, but I could also get hurt falling off the sidewalk from walking down the strnfl street pictureseet.
I am going into my 11th season as a football official. I know many officials at all levels up to, and including, the NFL.

All of the NFL refs I know started in peewee leagues and worked their way up through high school, college, etc. It is also possible to skip the college level and work through af2 and AFL. In any case, you have to really love it because it takes 12-20 years for most people to go through all of the steps to get to the NFL. The officials who make it to the NFL are scouted for years and subject to all sorts of evaluations and background checks.

Check with the National Association of Sports Officials below. They can help get you in contact with your local football officials' association.

They have an NFL camp evernfl street picturesy year and anyone can try out. Yes, you have to have previous refereeing experience, other than that anyone can try out. Of course they do a background check and make sure you have a clean record and all the normal stuff that goes into hiring new employees. If you need more info, please don't hesitate to shoot me an email.
Thanks.
you need to get high school certified to do varsity high school games. from there (ONLY if you have connections tho) you can move up to college, but the transition takes anywhere from 10-30 years. and to get to the NFL is AT LEAST another 10-15 years if you are lucky AND again have connections

its all about connections and getting on the right crew, but most of all knowing the right people
