I am looking to buy a very very loud speaker and have heard about a high frequency horn... will it play music if i play it through a car audio? I am looking for something that will project immensely.
Edit, the horns are really efficient and start at 100hz per 1 watt of power, it will then gain like 3 dbs. every time the watts are doubled, 1, 2, 4, 8, 16, 32, and so ohorn speaker musicn, the idea is you can use a deck or small amp and get loud.
they can sound harsh to the ear but i assume you can get them to sound good. there are high end designs from 1000.00 a pair to like 4000.00.
other wise less then 100.00 a pair and some old sub boxes had them on them and did ok.

yes they can, from 350 hz. on up to horn speaker musicthe highest frequencies humans can hear, what i said before, you need mid bass drivers and sub wooffers to fill it in.
you could just use the horns but it would not be the whole music signal, but may work for what you want,
the horn drivers play mids -n- tweets and are efficient top play off the deck if needed
