My computer had an update for Java, I finally got around to updating it today. When updating Spysweeper poped up and said a BHO wants to run. Accept only if you trust it. Its Java so I trust it and I accepted it. Will this cause me any harm? I am asking this because I know some BHO's can be harmful. I had no problems aftjava updateerward, except windows stopped responding, but it is ok after restarting.
No, Browser Helper Objects [BHO] will not necessarily cause any harm if they are supplied by legitimate software manufacturer, such Microsoft, SpyBot, etc.
If you can identify the BHOs running in your computer, and you are definitely sure that theyjava update are included in any software you have in your computer, there is no cause for alarm.
Windows sometimes stop responding when dealing with Java, or programs associated with Java. This seems to be normal, as long as no problem is incurred after a restart.
